2065 By alhafizsanusi in Competitions, Memory of the Past, Poetry A piece on the theme of 'The Importance of Remembering'. A Jewish teenager back then, Lotte Frankel was deported to Auschwitz in March 1942 and was tattooed prisoner 2065. She narrowly escaped from death and was liberated on May 1945.

Ode to the Rain By VinushaV in Competitions, Memory of the Past, Poetry, The Prospect of Beauty As an expat who used to earlier live in the Middle East, I have seldom experienced rain as it is in Singapore. Every time it starts pouring, I stop what I am doing to look out my window and take it in. Even when I am caught in the rain, I have a smile on my face. I dedicate my writing to the sublime beauty that is the rain.
